Operator Interface replacement
The operator interface talking to an S&S PLC is about to fail completely. A replacement solution is needed. The comms protocol is proprietary.
Request for quotation (from an actual recent email)
We invite you to submit quotation for the supply of the following goods and services in accordance with the attached documentation. Please provide quotation to design, supply, install, commission, intergrade and provide 12 months DLP warranty of the Plant Control/SCADA System for the MBT Facility project (name omitted for confidentiality reasons) all to be as per attached tender documents and details.
SCADA redesign
The existing software is so old that a complete replacement is needed: new computer hardware + OS, new SCADA, redesign, integrate, commission. Interface to an existing PLC.
Compressor control
The German made compressor needs to be monitored and controlled by our existing Citect SCADA system. The compressor has a proprietary PLC but it can apparently talk Modbus.
Energy metering
Our some of our energy meters are not reading on our Adroit SCADA. We also require a reporting to be designed to allow us to estimate the energy consumption on certain subcircuits and assess the potential savings.
PLC replacement
The three TI PLCs need to be replaced with a single, current model PLC.
PLC code modification
The Wago PLC running the pumping station needs to be ammended to include some more gear.
PLC code migration
We are planning to migrate the existing Hitachi PLC code to Allen Bradley Compact Logix platform. Our programmer needs assistance.
PLC decommissioning
You are planning to decomission and dispose of your PLCs and other automation gear. STOP!!! We might be interested in purchasing from you the old, working PLCs, spare parts etc. Such parts might be the 'life saving' items for someone who's full production is on hold. Please let us know and we shall visit you free of charge or any obligations.
